Andrew Eder

Andrew Eder is Chairman of Eder Bros. Inc., a leading wine and spirits distributor in Connecticut. He joined the business in 1971 and became president in 1982. He has served as president of Tower One, a licensed high-rise apartment and assisted living building for elderly low income individuals, and was the former president of the Jewish Community Center of Greater New Haven. Andy also served as president of The Wines and Spirits Wholesalers of America, a national trade association of almost 400 members.
A long-term board member of Jewish Federation, Andy has served on many boards throughout the Greater New Haven area including United Way of Greater New Haven. Andy is also the founder of the Non-Profit Institute at the University of New Haven, which trains current employees of non-profits for leadership roles.
Andy has been the recipient of many awards including the Anti-Defamation League’s Torch of Liberty, The Living and Giving Award from the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and the Connecticut Council for Philanthropy’s John H. Filer award for leadership in promoting private action for the public good, and The Alexis De Tocqueville Award from the United Way.
Andy is married to Eileen, a professional artist and educator in Guilford. They are proud grandparents to seven male grandchildren.
