According to Giving USA™, Americans showed they are once again a generous people as charitable giving rose in 2013 in virtually all sectors:
- Total estimated US charitable giving increased by 4.4% to $335.17 billion
- Giving by individuals increased by an estimated 4.2%
- Giving by foundations increased by an estimated 5.7%
- Giving by bequest increased by an estimated 8.7%
- Giving by corporations declined by an estimated 1.9%
