The position is responsible for managing the daily operations of an EDA-funded Venture Challenge Build-to-Scale (B2S) grant, with the goal of creating an industry-specific Ecosystem for BIPOC Technology Entrepreneurs.

Title: Project Director, Connecticut Consortium for BIPOC Technologists (CCBT)
Department: The Community Foundation Mission Investments Company (TCF-MIC)
Reports to: Managing Director, Mission Investments Company
FLSA Status: Exempt
Compensation: $90,000 - $100,000 + benefits
POSITION:
The Project Director for the Connecticut Consortium for BIPOC Technologists, is funded-through a three-year, $2 Million grant from the Economic Development Administration (EDA) to the Foundation and its TCF-MIC subsidiary. The position is responsible for managing the daily operations of an EDA-funded Venture Challenge Build-to-Scale (B2S) grant, with the goal of creating an industry-specific Ecosystem for BIPOC Technology Entrepreneurs.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Functions as a liaison between The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven and the project’s primary funding source, i.e., the Economic Development Administration (EDA)
Ensures fidelity and full programmatic/fiscal compliance with the grant’s stated services and outcomes through an ongoing quality assurance (QA) and continuous program improvement (CPI) paradigm as specified by The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven
Supervises, trains and provides technical assistance to the Business Development Specialist staff member as required. Evaluates that staff member on an annual basis
Provides oversight and technical assistance to the project’s vendors. Evaluates those groups’ performance on an annual basis
Coordinates the services provided by the project’s unpaid community partners
Takes a lead role in developing a Project-specific data and client management system
Prepares project-related performance and fiscal reports and submits those documents to the EDA in a complete, accurate and timely fashion
Attends meetings on behalf of the project. Prepares press releases and promotional materials in consultation with the Managing Director of TCF-MIC. Conducts other public relations activities as directed by The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven
In tandem with the Business Development Specialist, represents the organization at mandated EDA Grantee Conferences
Convenes project-related conferences and retreats for all key project stakeholders
Oversees subcontractor management and data metrics collection from all vendors
Responsible for completing quarterly and annual reports to the EDA
Facilitates capacity-building workshops, webinars and trainings benefiting project participants and/or vendors
QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) plus four years of related experience in entrepreneurship training or economic development programs preferred
Bachelor’s Degree combined with six years of related experience minimum requirement
Extensive knowledge of the Greater New Haven commercial sector essential
Bilingual ability a plus
