OVERVIEW
Neighborhood Leadership Program
The Neighborhood Leadership Program is a networking, skill building and grant program for resident leaders of New Haven, West Haven, East Haven or Hamden. After a year-long pause for evaluation, we are excited to announce that the program is back and better than ever for 2024-25! The application deadline for the 2024-2025 program has now passed. Join our mailing list below to receive notices about each year's program and application deadlines.
The Neighborhood Leadership Program is an eight-month (September - April) training and grant program that supports community leaders in imagining, developing, testing and realizing projects which build community and provide positive outcomes in New Haven, East Haven, West Haven and Hamden.
Participants engage in three full-day sessions of leadership training in the fall of 2024, including generating a pilot learning exercise. In early spring 2025, this is followed by further support and training in planning and budgeting for their community projects. After completing the training and planning stages of the program, participants are exclusively eligible to apply for a grant of up to $3,000 to carry out their community-based projects.
If you have a commitment to making a positive difference through resident engagement, are eager to build your skills and capacity to increase your impact, and want to engage with other leaders in learning, practice and project execution, then YOU should apply to this program!
